Autumn is Finally Here! It’s my favorite season! I absolutely love love love the colors and the cooler weather. Love bringing out the Fall clothing. Did I already say love?

We’re going to toot our own horn a bit here. Stacey Ilyse Photography was credited in the press yesterday! I’m very excited for Stacey.

Over the weekend, we attended the Bergen Mama “Mama’s Just Wanna Have Fun” event as a vendor and event photographer.

Today I figured since it was a Royal Wedding day.. I might as well post a few photos and tell you all a bit about our own wedding! The grand wedding of Stacey and Morgan! hehehe

I have to say.. if I could have my wedding everyday I would.. that is how much fun it was! We were married on 10/26/08 ~ wow that seems like such a long time ago now! Anyways, we decided to have the wedding at this AMAZING venue over in Jersey City, NJ called Liberty House. But since I was (still am in many ways) very attached to my apt. in NYC (plus it has amazing natural light for photos!) I decided to getting ready in our apt. on Mercer St. Also one of my best friends lives 2 doors over so M. was able to get ready at her place (since she and her mom spent the AM with us ladies anyways). We also decided to get ready in NYC because we wanted to do our photos in our neighborhood as well.. It was VERY high on my priority list to have photos with my Wickett-Monkey puppy and since we did not want him to come to the wedding ~ he doesnt like all those people we decided this was the best way to do it.

After the photos we piled ourselves into a van we rented ~ and had my BF’s cousin drive us around for the day.. dont worry, he was at the wedding too!

We made it to the venue for the ceremony and reception… Some of my favorite moments were being married under a very special chuppah ~ which was made for me be one of my mom’s BF’s and is quilt made from my dad’s work shirts and ties… for many years it hung in my bedroom, but we decided to take it down and clean it and preserve it so I could use it for that day… I sewed ribbons onto the corners so it could be hung. I also really love our Ketubah.. which was is the jewish marriage document.. instead of a traditional ketubah ~ which are beautiful but can be very big and also a lot of $$.. and since M. isnt Jewish we decided to look up some text online and had our dear friend Vanessa and Roee write the english and the hebrew a simple piece of off-white watercolor paper.. Roee is Israeli so he wrote it in beautiful cursive hebrew ~ it looks perfect! I also loved our first dance ~ which was to The Rolling Stones “Beast of Burden” a little untraditional but that’s just the way we like it! We also decided instead of gifts we donated $ to Sloan Kettering in honor of my dad and M’s grandma.. and we give everyone a little something from the great state of OHIO (where M. is from) and left a buckeye on everyones plate to take home… Lastly and one of my favorite items was the old fashion BW photo booth we rented.. we asked all our guests to contribute a photo strip to a book and to leave us a message.. it was AWESOME! Anyways.. those are some of the details from my wedding day. While I did not leave in a carriage or have a gazillion people watching our day.. I, like every other bride felt like a princess! Today’s “Love Project” are 2 of my “love” at a wedding… and the last one, is the my favorite. It is something I stare at EVERY DAY.. that door, with that “I love you” is located on a building right across from my apt. I can see it out my window and when I take out my monkey puppy. For over a year I have wanted to take a photo of it.. but never had until the other day. Have a happy Wednesday.. and in case you havent yet today… remember to tell someone you LOVE THEM! XO ~ S

So I have started a simple project… I named it “Love Project” I seem to find the word love, or random images of hearts scattered around and decided it was time to document them
