As a tween growing up Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ, we had no town pool. I always envied my friends who had a pool, beach or lake house… somewhere they could go to be with friends, read, hang out on a hot day, etc.. I made the most of it though – living not too far from the Ho-Ho-Kus brook and having a pretty laid back mom I found myself exploring the woods behind my house and cooling myself off in the brook quite often as a little kid. I have been waiting for the day that my girls (or at least Remy) was old enough to enjoy the adventure along with me. I needed to do a test run for a Lensbaby Mini Session – so Morgan and I got the girls in the car and headed over to the creek I was planning to use for some photos of the girls. These happen to be some of my favorite recent photos… using a lens that allows me to feel infinitely creative, in a spot that is so unpredictable, organic a BEAUTIFUL… coupled with my 2 most favorite muses… I left the water feeling so happy I got to experience something so simple and freeing with my girls and take some beautiful photos while I was at it!
