Betsy and I know each other through our girls – her little one and my big love are classmates in a local preschool over in Wyckoff, NJ. The girls adore each other.. and over the course of this year Betsy and I have gotten to know each other a bit more – enjoying each others posts on FB and IG. We share a love for big dogs, bright colors, mismatching, eclectic furniture (the GOES together all the same) we both feel that walls are meant to be filled with art, photos and love.. just like our lives and our families. We both have 2 beautiful girls and really chill husbands… so it is no surprise that their afternoon at home photo session would be filled with giggles, color, togetherness and fun.
Like most families they have their after school routines of homework, practicing piano, snacks time, dinner, bedtime traditions and snuggles. However, there is always time for playing with dad while he is off for a few days, outdoor fun, fresh air and more. The girls love to ride bikes and scooters, they are seriously some of the sweetest, giggliest, most adorable pair of sisters – Betsy and Hank are raising them right – with love and respect for each other and their parents – something I admire and appreciate.
I had so much fun watching them flitter through playing together and making each other laugh.. it felt a lot like home to me… 🙂 I also LOVED how when Betsy came over today to see her photos for the first time she cried… cried because it is HER LIFE. She mentioned while the other sessions she’s done up till now she liked the pretty photos and happy to have them – but WOW, these have meaning to her – and that was just a feeling of awesomeness for me. Knowing that I can translate my love for photography and memory making for my own family and give that skill and passion to someone else. It is such a treasure. Im beyond grateful to have given it to Betsy, Hank and their beautiful girls… An afternoon at home is worth remembering even if it is not momentous, it is THEIR moments. ENJOY! XO ~ S
